[As you know that teenagers like us , don’t care the things that happen in the daily life. L think this is the reason for my school GCA give us this volunteer homework to do. Last term, l went to the 平安 animal centre. L had a good time there with the lovely, cute animals.This time. L decided that don’t leave my home too long, why don’t l do the volunteer work for Nanjing Wang Ke golden garden. So l comminuted to the manager of the property. He was very happy to give a chance to do to the volunteer. L chose to clean the WANG KE chamber. It is not very dirty. But l tried my best to clean. When l cleans the room, l found that it is my first time to do the clean. As usual, my parents don’t let me to do the housework. The only thing they said is study hard, work hard. L think my parents should give me more chances to do the housework. Otherwise, when l studies at the university in Canada, l will be in a big trouble.My job includes 2 parts, first is clean the room, and second is to help to cut down the weeds. Cut the weeds is a really hard work. At first, l thought that it is not too hard. But it really needs your power of your waist, your shoulder. L did this during the MAY holiday. My holiday has 5 days of, so l did it 2 hours a day. Someone may ask me why you don’t do it 5 hours a day or 10 hours. Because it is too hard, after do the work, the only thing l want to do is sleeping. So this is also the reason why l wrote this article the day before l went to school.Oh, l even forgot the most important thing l need to tell you guys is if you went to the Wang Ke Golden garden, you maybe can see my handsome, beautiful face on the cupboard. You know that, May Holiday also called the May 1 International Labor Day. The volunteer work job made me really understand the happiness of the labor. There are more and more volunteers in china, like the volunteers of the Beijing Olympics. But we still need more people to do the volunteer work, like take care of the old people kind of the things.The meaning of this homework is not just for our profile. Ms mandy want us to be kind, generous. Doing volunteer work in Canada is a part of Canadian’s daily life. Although it is not comfortable to do, but l will try to be better and better. L really remember the experience forever. L hope our school make this kind of homework for us more and more.

Here are some photos of the religious service. People in western country like to believe some regions, like the Protestantism. Today, l went to the church to see why this is too important in western people’s daily life.
At about 8 am, l went to the church. When l came there, there are a lot of old people sat there. L didn’t know what they did. L thought maybe it is a kind of Kiddush. There were about 6 missionaries. When l came into the church, a pastor named 何维惠，he is the host of this cathedra. First, we started to sing. L didn’t know how to sing, just look at them singing. Then the pastor started his cathedra. The cathedra is about the love, l translated Chinese in English is PICK THE FIRST LOVE. There are something really made me confuse. L even didn’t know what are they talking about. Just about the GOD, the love,. Well, it is my first time to be close to the western culture. Maybe it is the culture difference. My father said to me , people must have a belief, the belief will push people up. If people don’t have a kind of belief, this kind of people only take care of themselves. L didn’t know what he said, well maybe l will know in the future.
This is my first time to be close to the western culture. L will some of it, l believe l will know the western countries better.

Last week, our fashion show project was due. Both grade 10 students fell very happy. We have prepared this terrible thing for about 1 month. At that day, our group model ALEEN went to the fashion show place to prepare the fashion show. L was a little bit nervous because l was afraid that the clothes that our group clothes made are not very good.
When the fashion show started, the 5 emcees are both very fashionable. At first, it was the time for the HIP- POP dance. The dancers are very professional. L thinks they are much better than our school dancing club. But l believes that our school club will dance better than them one day. After that, it is the time for the fashion show. Our teachers, our GCA school students wear the clothes they made themselves. L think Ms chu wears the most sexy clothes in the whole GCA teachers. Mr burger wears the most interesting clothes, and he is a really funny guy. My classmates TOM, ALLEN, WAYNN both did a good job. We both have a good time there. Also there are some creative clothes like the spaceman clothes. There is only one design let me turn on is 10-A’ . A student named RITA wears a very beautiful clothes. How beautiful she is.
Finally, the fashion show was over. Here are some videos of the fashion show. Next year’s fashions show we will make better clothes than this year’s. l hope this kind of activity our school will have more.

Teach the primary school student

Teach the primary school students
Last Thursday, we are glad to have a chance to teach the primary school students. When l first listens to this, l felt that it is really strange. In my opinion, the students in grade 5 are just kids. We can not comminute to each other very well. L felt a little bit worry. But when l saw the grade 5 students happy faces, my worry had gone in 1 second.
On that day, at about 9:45, we went there. When l saw the primary school, l reminded that my primary school life. L felt that the time had passed very quickly. Suddenly, we are 16 years old. When we arrived the classroom, both of my classmates felt a little nervous. L taught a lovely boy. At first, he didn’t like to speak. But, we knew each other very quickly. He learned things very soon. He knew the rule of the UMO cards very quickly. Then we played with Jolin and the other my classmates. Both of us have a good time there.
L will remember this experience forever. L maybe will be a teacher in the future. Because l found that teaching is a really interesting thing.

Eat at the wetern resturant

As you know that we will learn in the western country , so it is important for us to know the life of the western country. The lifestyle in the western country is really different from the lifestyle in china. So we must be suitable for eating the western food. So it is important for us have an experience to eat at the western restaurant even it is not cheap in china. But for the students in GCA, l believes both families have ability to pay for it. So we ate at the western restaurant this week.
The restaurant is beside behind the Xi Lai Deng Hotel. It is a famous restaurant in Nanjing. Also it is not very expensive. The boss of the restaurant is an Italian. He is a really kind man. The food in this restaurant is really delicious. The pizza here is the most delicious pizza l had eaten in Nanjing. My favourit is the seafood pizza. L really like seafood. Also the pasta here is really good too. Tell you a secret l had met Ms Jackson in this restaurant. But my parents are litter bit uncomfortable to eat this. They thought it was not valuable to eat this. But l told them , this is for homework, also it is good for me to learn the western life. We had a short dinner at the restaurant. We both have a good time there.
L felt that the western food may be include a lot of things. Why food is different form food in china, because of the culture, So l will learn more to know the western culture.

visit the exhibition

The most beautiful teacher Ms mandy told us to visit the exhibition for the profile. L felt it is really boring. L hated the exhibition, because it often made me crazy. As you know that we are teenager. We don’t like the thing that are boring especially the things we are not interesting. But after this , l felt that maybe the exhibition is interesting. There are also some valuable things in it.
We watched the exhibition last week after the Nanjing Foreign Language School anniversary. The exhibition was near the Great Hall of people. At the beginning l did not want to visit it. L don’t like the calligraphy. L am not sure, l just cannot know the meaning of the calligraphy. But for the profile l watched it. It was a middle exhibition. The emtrance ticket was free. Otherwise l would leave the exhibition less than 10 seconds. When l came in, l knew that the exhibition was made by a nfls student. L was surprised that a 16 years old teenager can write the Chinese words like this. L felt l am a litter bit admire her. There are about 50 works in this exhibition. Some l think it is really simple. Some l think it is really cool. L like big Chinese characters. Because l cannot write the Chinese characters very well, and my teacher always tell me that my words are both ugly and small. This is one that l like it very much. It represents the huge china l think. We took photos , which is my favourite.
Me be try something can get the better result. After this, l will try something more.

Club Activity

Club Activity
Our club was the newest club in the GCA. It is made by Joy from 10-A. Our club is called Game Bar which provide chance to play game and make friends with people from different class.
Because we are a new club, at the beginning there are only 5 people in our club. And we don’t have enough money; the only way to play is playing the psp. But we never give up, we believe we can be a club as big as the badminton club. And we decide to invite Ms Hadly to our club teacher. I wish she would like to do. I did the club activity about 10 hours this two terms. We act every Friday afternoon. We have a really good time there. Also we want to set up a game match about the monster hunter.
Now, our club becomes stronger and stronger. Now we have PS3, WILL , XBOX360 and also the psp. In the future , we will have more things. Now the club manager is JOY from 10-A. Also we need support, we would like to set up a game match. This is interesting, don’t you think. For example, the week before the winter holiday, we got a WILL. WILL is a game host, you can do the sports while you are playing game like the will sports. And I win the game , l got a bottle of coke. We named the match coke cup.
Club activity is good for us. We can know each other better during the activity.

Physical Activity

This winter holiday we got some job to do. It is about the physical activity. Well, actually l am big fan of sports such as the tennis and the fitness. But, one thing l have to mention first is that l didn’t do well in my final exam. So my parents are angry about me, l had to take the IELTS class. The class begins at 8 a.m., and finish at half past 2 p.m. The most terrible thing is that l must do the homework every day. I had to give up my hobbies this winter holiday. I can live without the computer game but l cannot live without doing sports. Let me tell you about my experience about doing sports during the winter holiday.
I did the physical activity about 15 hours this winter holiday. About half of this 15 hours l did is the fitness, and the other is tennis, also table tennis. I have learned tennis about 3 years. I am really crazy about playing tennis. Because of the Chinese new year , and also the rainy, l didn’t have enough chance to play tennis. What a pity! This winter holiday l learned a lot of things. Let me tell you the detail. Tennis is a sport that includes a lot of things. This is why people like to watching it. My favorite player is Roger Federer .l want to learn his playing style, it is the eastern style. Why we called it eastern style because it was designed by the players in the east of the America. And the oldest playing style is western style. It is suitable for western player because they used to have strong power , much stronger than Asia people. And let me introduce the most fashionable style in the world is the mid playing style. It includes advantages from the two playing style. Because of this , it doesn’t have its own special advantage.
I don’t have genius in the tennis area. So l must train very hard to increase my strength. I play it about 2 hours a day. One hour to do the basic train, another hour to serve the ball. Serving ball is the final course of the tennis training. After this, the coach will not teach me anymore. But the final is the hardest. I have spent a lot of time on serving the ball. I still cannot serve the ball at the right place. The coach told me the only way to get it better is working harder and harder. This is the fastest and also easiest way to get it. I believe one day l can play tennis as well as Roger Federer.


Then let talk about the fitness. The most serious point about fitness is persist. I need to do fitness every day. After about one month l can see some litter change. If you keep doing this , after one year , you will find that you have a sexy and strong body. I have did this at about 5 months . Not every day, about 3 times a week. I cannot do it everyday. It is too hard for me to do. But l want to change , l don’t people said l am fat anymore. If l cannot do this very well, everything l also cannot do well.
Doing sports is good for our teenagers. You can also learn the spirit in it. I want our school have more P.E. lessons a week .

volunteer work

Volunteer work
Mandy bartell is such a good teacher. She let us do the volunteer work. At the beginning , l was so sad about this. Because l am a lazy people. Well, as you know that most young people are very lazy, l believe lam much better than the other kids. But the only thing l think is good for me is l can play with the small animals. This made me really interesting.
L start do my first volunteer work when it is the fourth day after the Chinese New year. L went to the pet shop, actually it is a foster house for the homeless animals. L did it for about 10 hours. It is really busy when l was there. But my classmates told me that the volunteer work there is very easy. Whatever let me tell you my hard experience when l was doing the volunteer work.
At the first day, when l arrive the foster house, l found it was too early. The principal of the foster house is a kind person. First she told me about this foster house. She said that the 平安 foster house is the biggest foster house in the world. It is a very huge organization which works for homeless animals. l felt that l choose this volunteer job is right. After the introduction, the principal began to give me the job. I think the most terrible thing in the world is what l was doing. She told me to clean the dejecta on the floor. Oh my god, l thought about this. Well there is something you must do it in the world, like clean the dejecta. Also because of the animals, they make the house stinky. Finally finished the work, there was another thing that l need to do is that raise the dog. At the beginning, she didn’t let me do this job, because she thought that l didn’t have enough ability to hold and keep the dogs. But l said l can do this because l has owned 5 dogs. And one thing l didn’t told her is that the longest dog l have owned is about 5 months.
L took about 5 dogs out. Each one hold a leash, they were both meek. But when they came out, they got excited immediately , they ran very fast. L tried my best to hold them, but they are really strong. I think the foster shop must pet them very well. After about 10 minutes, the long trip finally finished. It is 12, l went out to breath the fresh air and had a lunch.
At one p.m, l came back. The things are both done. L saw my watch, there also have time. L chatted with the principal. She told me that the day before yesterday; a handsome GCA student came to do volunteer work. L believed he is john who is the most handsome student of GCA. She said he did much better than me. At about 2 p.m., l went back.
The next day, because of the IELTS class, l came to there is about 3 p.m., there are also two people to do volunteer work there. Today was more comfortable than yesterday. I just help them to clean the room. Also take some photos with the lovely animals. And you will see them on my blogger. There is a dog liked me very much. He always follows me. I went there, it went there, l went out. It went out. Even l want to keep it as my pet dog. Happy time always going fast , l left there about six p.m.
Finally, l wish the people in the world give more care to the homeless animal. Although it got some diseases, don’t drop them out or sell them. We should let them be healthy. They are our best friends, don’t let them alon.

Eat with grade 12

The last day of the Christmas holiday, in the evening, our group members with grade 12 students went to a western restaurant. The grade12 students are both late. We have waited them for about half an hour. Until we are all ready, we went to the restaurant, it is called the my place. Lt is a really small restaurant. The waiter are both very Professional. They can speak English very well. We went in a small room with 12 chairs. The waiter first gave a basket of bread. Then, after the bread, the salad was coming. The salad are both 4 people share it. It is delicious, l like it very much. It was made by vegetables and the some charqiu. This salad was really great, l ate both of them.
The next is the pasta. Lt was litter hot, l did not like it very much. L ate some of it. L t is made by vegetables. The next thing is the meat. The meat with some rice. John ate most of it. The main character is coming.It is the pork chop. Everyone has one. Lt is very good, and delicious.
Afer the dinner, we played the game called brave and honest. The people who lost should say a screct or drank claret. Everyone played very happy.
This project was really interesting. Lt can make new friends with grade 12.What a wonderful night.

Visit 吴为山

Last Thursday ,when we in Ms Mandy class,we have went to the Nanjing University to visit a exhibition.lt is about a famous artist named 吴为山。He was teaching art in the university now. He was the member of the Fellow of Royal British Society of Sculptors 。 He got Pangolin Priz from this organization. He always have some special ideas about ART. His sculptor is about the Impressionism.
L visit his most famous production. It is called the sleeping boy . lt was made in 2002..The subject about this project is about the childhood. This product was made in a very quick seconds. When met his friend ,he saw his friend’s baby, the baby was sleeping. The face of this baby make 吴为山 want to keep this face forever. So he made this product named sleeping boy. When l saw this product, l remember my childhood. And this product also made me peaceful.
We also meet his another product, like the blood man, the woman on the sea. L also like the woman in the sea. He describes a really beautiful woman sit beside the sea. When l saw her,l felt l fell in love. She is like a really person.
The luckiest thing we met is we saw the real person 吴为山。He is so kind. We also take photos with him. My classmate Bill introduces our art teacher Ms Hadly to the 吴为山. Although he can not speak English, he tries his best to understand the Ms Hadly. The Bill said that we are introduced by a teacher named Wu. Also we are the student of the GCA. He also give Ms Hadly An English introduce book. He is very modest. He would like to talk to the children. So, he can get this kind of success is not occasional. The other successful thing he did is he has made a statue made of clay for the Queen) of the holand. The queen also likes the sleeping boy very much.
He favour the enjoyable sculpture and point out the meaning of based the value of the china sculpture criterion. This kind theory has struck a responsive chord from the artist in the same area.
Now, he is famous in the world. But, he give up the nabobism. He chose to be a teacher in Nanjing University. He said he wanted educate more student about his enjoyable sculpture. He wants our own culture to be shown to the world. In the future , he will travel from the world to learn more knowledge about sculpture area. To see the different art from all over the world. L hope he can educate more talent people about art.
We had a really good time on that day. L hope GCA can organize more activities like this. So we can learn more knowledge of some other things in daily life. This will help us a lot in the future.

SuZhou Garden class

On Monday afternoon, there is a course about the garden l think it is new for me. Here is some my own ideas about the course.
The teacher is called Zhao Bing. When l first saw him, l felt he was a very kind man. He is a teacher of the Nanjing University. He is a very famous engineer. First, he asked us a question: what is the garden? When he asked the question, none of us know the answer. For a while he answered the question, the garden is about the beauty, and it includes many things. The most famous garden in china is SuZhou garden. It is the old garden. He also said that the modern garden use plants, mountains, water made the beautiful living space. The oldest style of china garden is 囿and 菀. L think the old people is very clever. Although l have not been to the SuZhou garden,l can felt its beauty and meaning.
Also we study in GCA,and when we leave from China . We can invite foreign people to come to china to enjoy the beauty of the SuZhou garden.So,it is very important for us to know more knowledge about china. We all happy to have this special today. L think school can add this kind of class more. This can help us learn a lot about china.And this knowledge will help us in the future.
